Director of Project Operations

Informatic Concepts is conducting a confidential search for a Director of Project Operations. Our client is a growing project management services firm. They run multi-site programs for national clients.

In this firm, operations is the product. The work clients buy is the work this team delivers. So this leader must be strong in two places: in front of clients, and in the details of execution.

This is a new leadership seat. You’ll report to the President and lead the program management team.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and develop a team of program managers across active accounts.
• Hold the team accountable for delivery, quality, and service levels.
• Build strong relationships with key client accounts.
• Plan resources across programs and geographies.
• Review and strengthen quality control processes.
• Help shape the annual project plan and account strategy.
• Support business development and account growth.
• Drive profitability over time.
• Grow your people. Get PMs ready for bigger roles.

Your First 90 Days

• Take the lead with PMs and project teams on active accounts.
• Meet the clients. Build trust.
• Review how quality is checked today. Make it better.
• Help build next year’s project plan.

What You Bring

• 10+ years in facilities management, owner’s representation, or a related program/project role.
• 5+ years leading people.
• You have hard conversations. You hold people accountable. You don’t avoid conflict.
• Executive presence with clients.
• Experience running multi-site programs and planning resources across regions.
• P&L ownership.
• Experience leading change and developing talent.
• Comfort with a structured operating rhythm: weekly meetings, clear scorecards, clear ownership.

Nice to Have

• Background at a large facilities management firm, on the operations side.
• Owner’s rep experience.

Location
Charlotte, NC preferred. Strong candidates in other markets will be considered. Travel up to 40%.
